Is therapy costly and
lengthy? My personalized approach for
quality care offers traditional and alternative treatment options
make therapy affordable and relatively short term. The
exact length of treatment is dependent upon the degree of
symptoms, past experiences and current life situations.

How do I know if I have
the right therapist?
Considering the correct therapist for you is like finding the right
pair of shoes for yourself. There are many shoes to select
from, but all don't fit just right for you or are not the right
style. In finding the right therapist, you must feel
comfortable with the therapist's style who is trained to assist in
the issues you are dealing with. Personality styles will play
a role in how comfortable you feel with your therapist. Ask
questions which are important to you and evaluate the fit with the
therapist, as you would in evaluating the purchase of your shoes.
A good fit is necessary for comfort and continued health.

How does therapy work?
Therapy should be based on the needs of the individual and not
just on the therapist's preferred style. Every individual
should feel that their therapy is their own. Over time, a
relationship is built between the therapist and individual.
This will result in the individual's ability to
trust in the guidance given by the therapist. There are no
miracles to therapy. It is hard work and requires your
commitment and dedication in working toward health. Just
like physical exercise, the initial stages may be difficult; however
with determination, your mental health will improve as would your
physical health through exercise. Therapy should also be
enjoyable as should physical exercise. Be committed, but have
fun...and over a short amount of time, you should begin to feel
better about your life.
